Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Your site has an interesting name. What's the history behind that?

A friend e-mailed me that I was obsessed with my newfound love of the game, team, and sport. I responded back that I wasn't just obsessed- I was so very obsessed. When I went to move all my pictures over to their own site, it was the first thing that popped into my head. Not surprisingly, the domain was available.

Q. Your pictures are awesome. I want some of them. What should I do?

Drop me an email, but first, be sure you're including the following information:

    - the type of picture you want- digital? print?
        - if you want a print, I need to know what size (nothing bigger then an 8x10) and if you're in the US, I need the zip code of a Wal-Mart closest to you and your first and last name. I use the "upload & print with 1 hr services" feature of Walmart.com. It's easy and convenient for me. If you are outside the US, I'll need your mailing address and some type of payment to cover the cost of the prints and mailing them to you.
    - the url of the picture(s) you want. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS, I WILL BE ANNOYED. Annoying me is not a quick way to get your pictures. [NOTE: Pictures prior to 2005-2006 are unavailable.]

Please note that some limits may apply. Contact me for more details. Also, all pictures -both printed and digital- continue to be bound by my terms and conditions, US Copyright Law, and the Creative Commons license in which they are licensed under.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that while I delight in the fact that y'all love my pictures enough to request them, I am a busy person. I say this not to brag, but as a fact. This site and all the words and images that go into it are a hobby, and it is one I do not get paid for. Therefore, I am unable to make it a big priority over other real-life commitments. This means that I mightn't be able to get to your photo request in a speedy manner. If you need them by a specific date, please let me know so I can try to accommodate you, but otherwise, please know that I'm working on it.

Q Your pictures are awesome! I'm a big fan of [player]! Can I have ALL your pictures of him?

I'm sorry, but no. The pictures are my entire personal collection. They represent a great investment of time and money. I put them online so you can enjoy them, too, but I will not part with all of them. E-mail me at hcreegan (at) soveryobsessed (dot) com, and we'll talk about maybe seeing what I am willing to part with.

Q. I feel so bad that you go to all these hockey things just so I can live vicariously through you. You're such a kind person, deserving of many awards and accolades. Do you have a tip jar?

Certainly. You can donate through Amazon.com here. It's appreciated, but not necessary.

Q. I dig your site. I want to link to it.

Go right ahead. You don't have to email me about it or ask my permission. You may NOT, however, pull my content into your site via any type of feed. (jatkoaika.com uses SVO's pictures with permission.)

Q. I cannot believe you do not like Raycroft/Thornton! He is incredible! You clearly don't know talent when you see it! Have you no soul, you stupid girl?

Not only do I not have a soul, but instead of a heart, I have a big ol' piece of coal.

Q. Can you please let me know when you have new galleries posted?

Sign up for the notify list. I send out one mass e-mail per gallery update. On extremely rare occassions, the list is used for site announcements. Your e-mail is kept confidential, and you can opt-out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each e-mail. Another option is to sign up for the gallery's RSS feed. Q. Will you link me?

If you drop me an e-mail with your link, I'll check out your site. I don't blindly link for the hell of it, but usually, yeah, I'll link you.
